Mr. Bowie gets in a good jab at consumerism and tells a story about going out on the town with Iggy Pop.
Quick Movie Review – The Man Who Knew Too Much

Ambassador: You have muddled everything from the start, taking that child with you from Marrakesh.
Technically great, as you would expect from a Hitchcock film, with some incredible visuals and villains that were somewhat more complicated than your standard fare. I think the real issue I had with this was it was just soaked in provincialism and racism that made it tough to sympathize with the obnoxious American protagonists.

Quick Movie Review – the Thing

Adam Finch: So, I’m gonna die because I floss
A movie that strips away most of the tension and ambiguity and replaces it with overly clean visual effects, too much CGI, pretty protagonists, americanized Norwegians, a dumbed down and fast tracked plot and nearly none of the tension or craft of the original. Not the worst or most offensive remake in recent memory, but definitely lacking in any real creativity and a totally unnecessary addition to the story.

Quick Movie Review – Spies Like Us

Austin Millbarge: We mock what we don’t understand.
It is baffling how a movie with this kind of comedic talent behind it could be so bland and unfunny. Cliched and clunky, with nothing substantial enough to appeal to anyone past puberty, it’s a film that felt like a grudging contractual obligation for all involved.

Quick Movie Review – The Getaway

Carol Ainsley McCoy: Well I just wouldn’t worry about that Doc, because I can always get you out, you know I can screw every prison official in Texas if I have to!
Like most of Peckinpah’s movies, it’s the story of a bunch of dirty, angry killers, a huge sum of money at stake, and a series of back stabs and betrayals. Maybe not quite as memorably brutal as Straw Dogs or the Wild Bunch, but it’s a solid heist/getaway film with a fantastic cast and Peckinpah’s unique brand of violent nihilism.

Quick Movie Review – Lucky Number Slevin
The Rabbi: I’m a bad man who doesn’t waste time wondering what could’ve been when I am what could’ve been and what could not have been. I live on both sides of the fence. My grass is always green.
This is a movie full of clever dialogue and clever plotting that is very proud of how clever it is being. Well cast with a strong sense of style, but it was trying so hard it ended up feeling a bit grating.
